When building a luxury home in Arizona, it goes without saying that a swimming pool is always a consideration. This time of year with temperatures up above 100 degrees most days, the swimming pool is where the kids spend a great deal of their playtime; school is out, it’s still light at 7:00 p.m. and quite honestly it’s a little too hot to do much else.

Even as adults, we can only spend so much time inside the home blasting the AC before we become a little stir crazy- The back yard gathering, whether a formal event like a graduation party or a casual Wednesday night barbecue, really does capture the essence of summer. At Camelot Homes we have a great appreciation for fine landscape architecture, and when we have the opportunity to implement our architectural influence all the way outdoors, we are thrilled with the prospect.

While not every back yard has room for a pool, there is something calming about being around water. Be it a fountain, or wall-mounted water feature designed solely for the sound, the effect is undeniable, and let’s face it not everyone likes to swim. So whether you’re using your back yard for cocktails or cannonballs the point is to enjoy it and Camelot Homes hopes you do.

But please, by all means, wear your sunscreen…
