Dining Al Fresco

What do you think of when you hear the phrase Al Fresco dining? If you’ve ever traveled through Italy, just the term itself conjures up images of Tuscan scenery and tables filled with wine, food, family and friends. For those of us lucky enough to live in a temperate part of the world, dining “al fresco” can be a reality for a good portion of the year. Lucky for us, Arizona would fall into this grouping…

Throughout our travels we have developed a great appreciation for European architecture, therefore it is no coincidence that the homes we build are not only similar in style, but really an embodiment of the old world lifestyle. Sharing meals and entertaining friends are the sweet things in life and there is a certain beauty in mixing it up. Replacing the ordinary for the extraordinary if you will, and sometimes it just takes a little imagination.

Whether you are in a back garden, a courtyard, or an outdoor terrace what better way to enjoy a meal shared with loved ones than to create an out-of-doors, delicious summer indulgence? Adding some music, vases filled with flowers and a few candles to an outdoor table can turn even a mid-week meal into a celebration.

Whatever you serve, be it a delicious springtime Asparagus Risotto, or your mother-in-law’s Tuna Casserole (not pictured for obvious reasons…) enjoy it outside with the people dear to you and you will experience La Dolce Vita (“the sweet life,” not the film by Federico Fellini).

Buon appetito!
