Skiing, Snowboarding and Fun

Snow in Arizona? Yes! There are several great places to go skiing and snowboarding up in the mountainous regions of Arizona. From your luxury home in Phoenix, it is just a short 45-minute flight to Greer and the Sunrise Park Resort, a ski haven on the state’s eastern edge.

The Snowbowl in Flagstaff is also about two hours from Phoenix and perfect for enjoying favorite winter activities like skiing, snowboarding, and even snowball fights. It’s a great place to escape the desert heat.

More Winter Fun

There are also many other unique, local winter events held in January every year. Don’t miss the Rock ‘n’ Roll Arizona Marathon, the Arizona Renaissance Festival in nearby Apache Junction.

And in February, be sure to catch Gold Rush Days in Wickenburg, an hour north of Phoenix, as well as the Havasu Balloon Festival and Fair in Lake Havasu City, approximately three hours from Phoenix.

From the high-end real estate communities of Phoenix and the surrounding area, it’s easy to reach snow-covered mountains or enjoy the lush valleys and scenic desert landscapes.
